Common questions.

Pricing and quotes
How does Etho Home build my quote?
From your answers about your home, your current system, and what matters to you. Your advisor confirms the equipment and puts the price in writing, including labor, standard materials, old-unit removal, and required permits.
Can I compare options online before talking to an advisor?
Yes. Compare options online, then talk with an advisor when you’re ready.
Can the price change after I sign my agreement?
Your signed agreement sets the scope and price. Before you sign, ask your advisor how a scope change or an unexpected site condition would be handled.
Do you offer repairs or annual maintenance plans?
No. We replace heating and cooling systems and install related upgrades: indoor air quality, smart thermostats, and water heaters.
Installation and partner crews
Who performs the installation?
A licensed partner crew in Etho uniform. Partner crews are independent businesses, not Etho employees. Your written agreement names the contractor and its license or registration number for your state.
Who do I contact with a question after installation?
Etho Home. A partner crew installs your equipment, and Etho stays your point of contact from your first quote through warranty questions.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the equipment, ductwork, electrical needs, and site conditions. Your advisor confirms the schedule before installation.
Do you handle local building permits and inspections?
Yes. Where your city or county requires a permit, Etho and your licensed partner crew handle the application and coordinate the inspection.
Systems and sizing
Should I replace my AC and furnace at the same time?
Often, if they share a blower and are about the same age. A matched system can improve airflow and efficiency, and one installation can cost less in labor than two.
How do I choose between a heat pump, a gas furnace, and a dual-fuel system?
It depends on your climate and utilities. A heat pump heats and cools with electricity and suits mild to moderate winters. In colder climates, a gas furnace or a dual-fuel system, which pairs a heat pump with a gas furnace, is often the better fit.
When is a ductless mini-split a good option?
When a home has no ductwork, or for additions, converted attics or garages, and rooms that never match the rest of the house.
Financing, rebates, and warranties
What financing options are available?
Monthly payment plans through separate lenders, on approved credit. Not everyone qualifies. You can compare the cash price and monthly payments before you decide.
Are there tax credits or rebates?
Ask your utility, your state energy office, and a tax advisor what applies to your home. Etho Home doesn’t promise any federal, state, or utility incentive.
What warranties come with my new system?
Ask your advisor to confirm the manufacturer and workmanship coverage in writing, including registration requirements, exclusions, and who to contact for support.
Still have a question?
Bring it to your advisor, who confirms the system, scope, and price.
