This policy explains what Etho Home (“Etho Home,” “we”) collects through ethohome.com and its quote tools, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Notice at collection

When you request a quote or advisor help, we collect your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, any property address you add, your answers about your home and system, and the consent choices on that screen. We use them to answer your request, to plan and schedule work if you hire us, and to keep a record of what you agreed we could send. Quote and advisor requests are saved in Etho Pro (app.etho.pro), Etho Home’s own customer system, run by the same company, so an advisor can follow up. That isn’t a sale or a share.

We don’t sell personal information. If you arrived from an ad, this browser keeps the ad’s click ID and sends it with your request so we can tell which ad worked. We may share that click ID, with your request, with the ad platform to measure our ads. Some state laws call that “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out under Your privacy choices. What we collect

What you give us: your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, optional property address, and your answers about your home, your current system, and your project.
If you hire us: quotes, signed agreements, scheduling details, permits, and warranty registrations.
Financing: credit applications are taken by the lender, on the lender’s site, under the lender’s privacy policy. Don’t send a Social Security number, driver’s license, bank account, or card number through this site.
Technical details sent with a request: the page you came from, campaign tags in the link, ad click IDs, and your browser type. If ad or analytics cookies from those platforms are present, we read their IDs too. Our hosting provider logs IP addresses. Cloudflare, our host, provides spam protection (Turnstile) and cookieless page-view counts (Web Analytics). Neither uses ad cookies or tracks you across sites.

A ZIP code is not precise location. We don’t collect biometric data.

Information stored in your browser

Your ZIP code and city, once you confirm a ZIP code we serve, for 30 days, so we can welcome you back. Select “Forget this” to clear it at once.
Visit details for ad measurement, such as campaign tags and ad click IDs, for 90 days. “Forget this” clears these too.
A note that you closed a suggestion from Etho, for 7 days, so it stays quiet.

Your quote answers and a copy of a sent request stay in this tab until you close it. On a shared computer, close the tab when you’re done.

None of these stores your name, phone number, or email after you close the tab.

How we use it

To answer your request and prepare your quote.
To contact you the way you chose. We call or text you only if you checked the box that says so, and send marketing texts only if you checked the separate marketing box. Reply STOP to opt out.
To plan, permit, schedule, and manage work you hire us for, and to register warranties.
To learn which ads and pages bring requests.
To keep records the law requires and to protect our rights.

Your installing partner crew, once you sign an agreement: the contact details, address, and scope it needs. A partner crew may contact you about scheduling and the work, not for marketing.
Lenders, only if you ask to explore financing.
Service providers that host this site and send messages for us, under contracts that limit how they use it. Etho Pro, where your request is saved, is our own system, not an outside company.
Ad platforms, the ad click IDs described above, unless you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect safety and rights.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t sell or give your request to other contractors or lead buyers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Texas, New Jersey, Utah, Iowa, and Nevada, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. We’ll verify your request and answer within the time your state’s law allows. You may use an authorized agent where your state allows it. If we deny a request, reply to our answer to appeal. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. We don’t offer financial incentives for personal information, and we don’t use sensitive personal information to infer things about you.

How long we keep it

Requests that don’t become a signed agreement: 24 months, then deleted or de-identified, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Consent records (the words you saw, the version, the time, the page, and your browser): 5 years.
Signed agreements, permits, and warranty files: the workmanship warranty period plus 6 years, or 10 years, whichever is longer.
Coverage-update emails: 24 months.

Children

This site is for adults who own or manage a home. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we’ll delete it.

Text versions of our pages

We publish text versions of our public pages for search and assistant tools at /llms.txt and as .md files. They repeat our public pages. They aren’t a way to send us personal information.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to the information we hold. No system is perfect.
