Terms of service
Last updated: November 1, 2026
These terms cover your use of ethohome.com (the “Site”) and requests you make through it. Etho Home (“Etho Home,” “we”) runs the Site.
Please read Arbitration and class-action waiver. It changes how disputes are decided. You can opt out within 30 days.
What we do
Etho Home plans, prices, and manages residential HVAC replacements and helps you compare financing from separate lenders. Licensed partner crews in Etho uniform perform the installation.
Who does the work
Your written agreement names the contractor responsible for the work and shows its license or registration number for your state. We won’t ask you to sign until it does.
Partner crews are independent businesses, not Etho employees. They wear Etho uniforms and may drive Etho-branded vehicles. A partner crew may contact you about scheduling and the work you hired it for. It doesn’t get your consent to marketing calls or texts.
Quotes and agreements
- A quote on this Site is not an offer, a contract, or a final price.
- Price, equipment, scope, warranty, and schedule are set only in a written agreement you sign after your home’s details are confirmed.
- You must be 18 or older, and the owner of the home or authorized by the owner to approve the work.
Your right to cancel
If you sign at your home, or anywhere other than our place of business, your agreement will include the cancellation notice federal and state law require, including under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule and your state’s home-improvement and home-solicitation laws. Nothing on this Site waives those rights, and they survive these terms.
Financing
Financing is arranged through a separate lender, not Etho Home. It’s subject to credit approval, and not everyone qualifies. Any payment, rate, or term shown before you apply is an example, not an offer of credit. The lender’s agreement sets your rate and payment.
Calls and texts
Submitting a form is not consent to marketing calls or texts. We call or text you, including with automated technology or a prerecorded voice, only if you checked the box that says so. Marketing texts need their own separate box. Both boxes are optional and neither is a condition of purchase. That consent covers Etho Home only; partner crews, lenders, and other companies need their own. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Without that consent, we reply by email.
The Site and warranties
The pages on this Site are general information, provided “as is.” That covers the website, not your installation. Any warranty on equipment or workmanship is written in your signed agreement and in the manufacturer’s certificate. Nothing on this Site waives a warranty, a cancellation right, or another remedy that the law of your home’s state doesn’t let us waive.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Etho Home isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the Site itself. This limit doesn’t apply to your installation, to personal injury or property damage, to our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to any claim under a consumer-protection law that can’t be limited.
Arbitration and class-action waiver
Read this section carefully. It affects your rights, including your right to go to court and to a jury trial.
- Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, contact us using the details under Contact. We’ll both try to resolve it within 30 days.
- Arbitration instead of court. If we can’t resolve it, you and Etho Home agree that any dispute about the Site, these terms, or our calls and texts will be decided by a neutral arbitrator, not a judge or jury. The American Arbitration Association runs it under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, which set your fees. The hearing can be by phone, by video, or in the county where you live.
- Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead.
- CLASS-ACTION WAIVER. YOU AND ETHO HOME MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
- Public injunctive relief. This section doesn’t waive a right to seek public injunctive relief in court where the law gives that right. Those claims wait until the arbitration ends.
- Opt out within 30 days. You can opt out within 30 days after you first send a request through the Site. Send your name, home address, and “Arbitration opt-out” using the details under Contact. Opting out doesn’t change any other term.
- Your installation agreement. Disputes about an installation follow the dispute terms in your signed agreement, if it has them.
- If the waiver fails. If the class-action waiver can’t be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court, not arbitration.
- Your state’s law. Nothing in this section waives a right your state’s law doesn’t let you waive.
Governing law
The law of the state where your home is located governs your replacement, your installation agreement, and any right to cancel. These website terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the law of the state where Etho Home is formed, except that no term changes a right your state’s law doesn’t let you waive.

Changes
We’ll post any change here and update the date at the top. A change doesn’t apply to a dispute we already know about.
